Theatre festival

The Theatre Festival is held in June.

Apart from the stage of the
“Ivan Dimov” theater, broad streets and garden spaces, Renaissance houses and taverns become the open-air stages for the plays of leading Bulgarian and foreign theatre groups.
The festival presents the main trends in the Bulgarian and international theatre practice and creates opportunities for intercultural dialogue and artistic exchange. The program is constructed as a mosaic of different modules.
The extended form of presentation of the theater art fosters actors and performers in their meetings with unlimited number of viewers, while the roundtable discussions, which traditionally end the theater days, become the thought-provoking moments for specialists and actors.
Theatre festival in Haskovo naturally fits in the big family of European festivals and has become an integral part of the spiritual life of the city, bringing a fresh nuance in the cultural calendar.
